On Jan 21st, Cameron Tonkinwise came and gave a presentation to the studio on the affordances of the gun. In particular we discussed Bruno Latour’s statement ‘man with gun’ and what this means for our cultural understanding of our relationship to guns. Guns are designed with a purpose – to kill or maim, as a seat is designed for us to sit on. What does that mean for our relationship to the gun, and what it means for us a designers, and as a society. Attached is a PDF of the presentation.
